| This converter imports data from the
PerkinElmer Spectrum for Windows IR file format. It is designed to import all types of
FT-IR, Raman and NIR spectra, interferograms and chromatograms stored using this software.
The converter can also recognize data files from the PerkinElmer IMAGE software as well as
data from the UV WinLab, FL WinLab software packages. Make sure that you only submit FTIR
or Raman spectra from the Spectrum IR software for searching as the other types cannot be
searched against the database. If you experience problems submitting data files in the
PE Spectrum IR format, be aware that the PerkinElmer software can be used to save the data
files out in PerkinElmer IRDM, JCAMP-DX
and Thermo Scientific SPC file formats. Please note that some
versions of Spectrum IR can create invalid SPC files and, therefore, using IRDM or JCAMP
formats will be more reliable. Check your software version and contact PerkinElmer
