FTIRsearch.com uses a separate credit card verification service called iTransact. This service uses a secure link directly to a separate web server to gather the credit card number and other information necessary to approve credit card purchases. At no time does FTIRsearch.com ever have access to your credit card number or related information.

Uploaded Data Files
FTIRsearch.com allows account members to upload spectroscopic data files to be searched against commercial databases. All uploaded user data files will be temporarily stored to verify session quality and assist with addressing session quality disputes. Uploaded user data files are automatically purged from the server on a periodic basis. If you experience a problem while using the FTIRsearch.com Search Service related to a data file you have uploaded, you should contact us immediately so we can adequately evaluate the problem before your data file is purged from the server.

Security
This FTIRsearch.com web site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The entire web site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption of all private information transmitted between the user's web browser and the server. This includes all user contact and registration information, credit card and purchase information, login names and passwords, account information and balances, search parameters and uploaded spectroscopic data files.

In addition, the greatest possible care is taken to insure that the databases used to store and track this information are secure from unauthorized access and distribution by employing firewalls, secure database login access, secure network topologies and other network security measures.

Cookies
This site uses in-memory cookies to keep track of you while you are using the web site. Cookies are only used for:

(i) Maintaining your session link and tracking use of the free Spectral Search Demo.

(ii) Maintaining your session link and tracking search and credit usage while you are logged into the account members area.

(iii) Delivering content specific to your interest.

We do not use cookies to compile individual user statistics, demographic profiles or any other personal statistical information. Cookies are never written to your hard drive; they only exist in memory while you are logged into the account member area.

IP Address Information
FTIRsearch.com uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the web site. We also use the IP addresses of all visitors to the site to determine the country/region you are in when accessing the web site to ensure compliance with International, U.S. and local laws. IP address information may be used to determine broad visitation statistics for the entire web site, but will not be linked uniquely to you.
