You can also use FTIRsearch.com
with the web browsing features in America Online. The site has been tested with AOL V4.0
software and higher. If you are running an older version of AOL, you will need to
update your software in order to use FTIRsearch.com. |

In order to use the free FTIR
Spectral Interpretation Guide, you will need to download and install the Asymetrix Neuron
plug-in from the click2learn.com web site. As there are many different versions
available, please use the Download Neuron button to the left of this paragraph
to download the required software file.
You will need to close your browser, install the plug-in and restart your browser before entering
FTIRsearch.com.

| SSL Data Encryption |
Support for either 40-bit or
128-bit SSL encryption is required to maintain the secure link between your browser and
the server. |

Both Javascripts and Java
applets are used to update forms, manage account information and display search results. |

| Cookies |
In-memory cookies are used to
track the session while you are logged in. Your browser must support cookies and it
must be set to accept them. Without cookies, you cannot view search results or
manage your account. |

| Form & Data Upload |
Forms are used for setting up
accounts, logging in, managing accounts and submitting text or data files for searching
against the database. |
